Choosing a reborn doll as a gift

Start with the person, not the doll

A reborn doll can be a wonderful gift for a collector, someone who has admired reborns for a while, or a person who simply loves lifelike dolls. Before looking at faces, think about how they are likely to enjoy their doll: holding and dressing it, displaying it, or photographing it.

If you are not sure a reborn doll is right for them, a gentle conversation or a look at the pieces they already collect can tell you a lot. A doll chosen with them in mind will always feel more personal than one chosen at random.

Sleeping or awake?

Expression is often the detail people connect with first. Sleeping dolls have a peaceful, restful look that many people find calming, while awake dolls have open eyes and a more alert character. If the recipient already has a doll, choosing the opposite expression can make a lovely pairing.

Think about size and weight

Full body silicone dolls have a substantial, weighted feel, which is part of their appeal. It also means a larger doll can feel heavy to hold for long periods. If the recipient has limited strength in their hands or arms, a smaller doll may be the more comfortable choice.

Compare the length in inches and centimetres, and ask us for the confirmed weight of any doll you are considering.

Check what is included

Styled photographs often show blankets, toys and props that are not part of the purchase. Check the listing for the outfit and accessories that come with the doll, and ask us if anything is unclear. That way there are no surprises when the parcel is opened.

Plan around delivery times

We include tracked delivery, with estimated windows of 6–9 days for the UK, 7–10 days for the EU, 8–12 days for the US, 10–14 days for Canada and 12–18 days for Australia. For a birthday, Christmas or another special date, order early and contact us beforehand if timing is important.

Age suitability matters

Realistic silicone collector dolls are not automatically suitable as toys for young children. Small parts, delicate paintwork and the doll’s weight can all matter. If the gift is for a child, check the age guidance for that particular doll first.

A surprise does not have to mean guessing

Ask the recipient to save two or three favourites, or invite them to take the matchmaker and share their shortlist. You can still make the wrapping and the day of giving a surprise. A preference for a particular face is often more useful than a broad instruction such as “a realistic baby”.

If the gift relates to a personal experience, let the recipient lead the conversation. Avoid promising that a doll will make them feel a certain way. A simple offer to choose together leaves room for their own preferences.

Before paying, check the doll name, selected girl or boy option where available, listed weight, contents and delivery destination. Keep the order confirmation and care information together so you can pass them on with the gift. If the occasion is close, ask about timing before ordering; a delivery estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date.
