This notice explains what information Lola Dolls uses when you browse, place an order or contact us, and why.

Your shopping bag
The site stores the product identifiers and quantities you place in your bag in your browser, under lola-bag. This information stays on your device and is used to restore your bag when you return. It contains no payment information or name and remains until you empty the bag or clear site data.
Quiz answers
The matchmaker uses your choices in the current page session to suggest dolls. Answers are not sent to a server or retained when you reload or leave the app. You do not need to explain why you are choosing a doll.
Orders and payments
When you place an order, Stripe processes your payment on its secure checkout page; Lola Dolls never receives or stores your full card details. We receive and keep your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details so we can fulfil the order, send order and dispatch emails, handle returns and meet accounting obligations. Order records are stored with our hosting provider, Netlify, and order emails are sent through Resend. Tracking numbers are shared with you so you can follow your parcel, and your delivery details are shared with the courier we use.
Live chat
If you use the chat on our website, your messages, the page you were on and any name or email address you choose to give are stored securely in our database (Supabase) so we can reply. New messages are sent to the Lola Dolls team by email (Resend) and as a short phone notification (Pushover). If you leave your email address and are not on the site when we reply, we email you a copy of the reply. Chats are deleted automatically after 12 months without activity, or sooner if you ask us. Do not share payment details in the chat.
Hosting and technical information
Netlify hosts the website and may process request information such as IP address, browser details and requested URLs to deliver and protect the service. Your approximate country is worked out from your IP address so we can show prices in your currency and the right delivery estimate; it is not stored on our servers. Google Ads (account AW-18446851307) loads on every page through Google Tag Manager. Advertising cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner; otherwise Google receives only cookieless, consent-mode signals. If you accept and place an order, the order value and a secured (hashed) form of your email address may be shared with Google to measure advertising conversions. Fonts and product images load from the website itself.
How we improve the website
We measure how the website is used so we can make it easier to choose and buy a doll: which pages are viewed, how far people scroll, which buttons and links are pressed, how long pages are viewed, where visitors arrive from (for example a Google advert, Pinterest or a search) and the steps of the shopping bag and checkout. For most visitors this uses no cookies and stores nothing on the device. Our analytics provider, Supabase, recognises a visit for one day only using a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser with a secret that changes every day and is then deleted, so the code cannot be turned back into your IP address or linked between days. We never record what you type into forms, your name, email address or payment details. Your approximate country, device type and browser are recorded. Detailed records are deleted after 60 days; only daily totals are kept. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the shop. If you accept cookies, or you are visiting from the United States and have not rejected cookies, we also set a first-party cookie (lola-vid) containing a random code, so we can recognise your return visits for up to 13 months; it is used only for our own analytics, never sold or shared for advertising. You can opt out at any time by pressing Reject in the cookie banner (Cookie settings in the footer), or by visiting lolasdolls.com/?analytics=off, which also removes the cookie (and ?analytics=on to opt back in).
Your choices and rights
You can clear saved bag information using your browser’s site-data settings. Where we process personal information, applicable rights can include access, correction, deletion and objection. Email support@lolasdolls.com to make a request. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
