A little care goes a long way
Simple habits for gently handling and storing a reborn doll.
How do you care for a full body silicone reborn doll?
Support the head and body when lifting, handle fingers and hair gently, and store the doll on a clean light-coloured surface away from heat and direct sunlight. Follow its specific cleaning instructions. Do not assume that full body silicone means bath-safe, and avoid unapproved powders, oils, solvents or household cleaners.

Hold with care
Support the head and body, and avoid pulling on fingers, limbs, hair or eyelashes. Keep the doll away from sharp objects and rough surfaces. Follow the handling instructions that come with the particular doll.
Keep things gentle
Do not use household cleaners, solvents, powders or skin products unless the supplier specifically recommends them. Check the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions before using any water or cloth on painted areas.

Give your doll a comfortable place
Store away from direct sunlight, heat and damp. Dark or strongly dyed fabrics may transfer colour, so check clothing suitability and avoid prolonged contact with untested fabrics.
Before bath time
Wait for explicit confirmation that the specific model can be immersed. Hair attachment, paint and internal details can change water suitability, even when a doll is described as full body silicone.
Changing outfits
Choose clothing that fits without pulling over fingers or stretching the limbs. Ease sleeves and cuffs on slowly, supporting the hand as you go. Wash new clothing first where appropriate and check dark fabrics for dye transfer.
Hair and facial details
Avoid brushing, wetting or styling the hair until you know how it is attached and what the supplier recommends. Never force a dummy, bottle or other object into the mouth; an open-mouth sculpt does not necessarily have a feeding function.
After each use
Set the doll down on a clean, soft surface with the head and limbs supported. Keep it away from pets and small children unless the specific model has suitable age guidance. If you notice a tear, loose part or change in the finish, stop handling that area and ask for advice.
A simple check before and after handling
Before lifting your doll, make sure your hands and the resting surface are clean, and remove anything that could snag a finger or scrape paint. Support its weight with both hands rather than lifting by an arm, leg or clothing. Take extra care when moving between a shelf, basket and your lap.
After dressing or photographing, check that clothing is not pulling on a hand or compressing the face. Return the doll to a stable, supported position. Routine checks are a chance to notice a problem early, not a reason to repeatedly rub or clean painted details.
If you notice a mark or damage
Stop handling the affected area and take a clear photograph. Do not try solvents, glue or household stain treatments, and do not scrub to see whether a mark will come off. Contact us with the doll name and care information so the next step can be checked for that particular model.
